A dead-easy and dead-quick shortbread recipe, all in it shouldn’t take more than 30-40 minutes before it’s sat and cooling off!

All you’re going to need is:

  • 1/2 lb butter
  • 3/4 cup icing sugar
  • 1 cup self-raisng flour
  • a dash of milk

Then you’re going to need to:

  1. Cream the butter and sugar together
  2. add the sifted flour
  3. if the dough is too crumbly to roll add a dash of milk to obtain a workable dough
  4. roll out to about 1/4 inch thickness and score with a knife and prick with a fork
  5. bake in a low oven for about 20-30 minutes until golden brown
  6. if you want you can sprinkle over some caster sugar whilst it’s cooling
  7. nom nom nom with friends … also dip into tea
